Fall Stampede

The Fall Stampede is the primary fundraiser for Leitch and Warm Springs Schools. The Stampede happens every October, is fun for the students, challenges them and also helps to raise funds for on going school activities. It is a physical activity where the students run, walk or jog around a 220 yard course located at the schools. Students can ask friends and family members to sponsor them with either a flat rate or per lap donation. Those turning in a donation of at least $80 receive a Fall Stampede T-shirt. The 2001 Fall Stampede, raised over $30,000 for Warm Springs and James Leitch schools. This year, the stampede is scheduled for October 17 at James Leitch and October 18 at Warm Springs.

Ultimate Coin Toss

During 2 weeks in February, students bring coins to school for the annual coin drive. Each school collects a separate amount of coins and the amount collected is donated entirely to the school where the coins were collected. Last year, the Ultimate Coin Toss at James Leitch collected over $2100. These were used for technological improvements.

Take a Swing for Education Spring Golf Tournament

The Warm Springs/James Leitch PTO may hold a spring golf tournament and silent auction to help raise money for playground equipment. Friends and family are welcome! Volunteers are also welcome to help out in needed areas. We also collect gift donations for the silent auction such as classroom gift baskets (put together and donated by your classroom), sporting event tickets, cabin rentals, spa treatments, dinner gift certificates, limo services, weekend getaways, just to name a few. We also offer Hole Sponsorships to individuals, groups and corporations. This is an awesome opportunity to help the schools.

It’s amazing how a little effort from all of us can make such a huge difference!
