Expressions is a visual arts competition. It provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education. This contest involves submitting original entries in the "Visual Arts" category. The 2007 theme is "My Greatest Treasure." New in 2007, is the opportunity to submit 3-dimensional art made out of clay, glass, macaroni, or you name it, be creative! If your child has any interest in this area, please encourage them to participate. The awards recognition ceremony for this program usually takes place in January. |
